New blades are great, keeping my lawn looking like its done by a professional lawn service. Almost stick with brand name so will not be disappointed.
This stand is the perfect way to hold my Luba while changing blades and cleaning the underside. It cradles my Luba with a solid feel while protecting the vision camera from damage. No more balancing my machine with one hand or trying to find a box or piece of wood, or asking a second person to help. This is an excellent addition to my lawn care team!
My property has a lot of steep hills and uneven terrain- this mower handles them really well. I’ve been using it daily for a week now, and it has not gotten stuck anywhere or needed my intervention at all. Only reason I’m not giving it. Five stars is the mapping and app are kind of quirky.. have struggled a little bit to get it to do what I want and sometimes mapping fails multiple times and I had to start over before I had success. There should be a feature to either merge zones or automatically modify the division between zones to be exactly the same. I also wished you could modify zones from the map and not necessarily have to drive the mower over to the area to do the fine-tuning. Sometimes I have trouble waking the mower up when it’s in sleep mode. So from my perspective just several software imperfections that hopefully will improve with future updates. Physically the mower itself works really well.
I'm very happy with my Luba3 AWD. Getting it setup was relatively easy. The hardest part was picking where to park and mapping. The app is a little tricky to navigate (map editing is only available when creating a task). But once you get it setup and tweak the maps a couple of times, it seems to do great. The only real issue I haven't fully resolved is it doesn't cut as close around my tree beds as I would like. I manually mapped them hoping it will get closer. So happy not to have to mow in this Houston heat!
I'm using the equipment with RTK in a 10,000 sq-ft. sheep pasture inhabited by two sheep. I was up in that pen with them on first use, monitoring the first entrance approach to the new housing my spouse bought for it. Its docking was flawless on this, its second time out. (It had ran out of power and lay prostrate across the sharging station but undocked. on its first, arduous mowing of lawnmore-clogging thick, moisture-filled pasture grass grown to four inches and more in parts of the pasture. Second and third times have simply been efficient mowing of the mapped area with no harmful incidents or faults. Hurray!
I now own 2 Luba 3 robots (0.75 acre versions) to cover my lawns that total nearly 1.5 acres, with the house in the middle. There are several trees and odd shapes. The machine itself is amazing. Using only the 4G connection, mapping accuracy is terrific. Cutting quality is very good, not great, but probably can improve by using high blade speed rather than medium and cutting more frequently and with higher setting. Important to first "clean up" the lawns to remove branches/twigs before mowing or they can get stuck under cutting wheels, or the robot may divert around those that stick up off the ground. Whereas the robot itself is excellent, the Mammotion app is bad and not user-friendly. Certain controls are in different parts of the app, some of which much be accessed by swipes/taps that aren't obvious at all. Very frustrating how to add new lawns, and the option doesn't even appear until you place the robot on a new area. The option should be available always, with instructions on how to prepare the robot. Controls for blade height and speed are in separate area from mowing patterns and robot speed. Really, an awful app. At least the remote control driving portion of the app works well (like a video game). With better app, I'd rate this 5 star.
Works great and is very convenient.
I love the new robot that my wife named Charlie.
Works as expected
I couldn't be more impressed with how it mows my suburban yard. All my neighbors stop by and say how cool it looks and how nice of a job it does. I anticipate they'll be making a similar purchase soon.
Excellent Mower,
However, i personally don’t recommend the H version for a residential lawn.
I reached out for the refund process and hope for a smooth return/refund process, in the meantime I’ve already ordered the lower version.
Will update review depending on refund application results.
I got my Luba 3 3000H two weeks ago. Set up was fairly straight forward. However I didn’t have a great spot in reach of an outlet. I found that out when it couldn’t re-dock, so I moved it to my porch securing it with concrete Tapcon Screws.
Since I’ve mowed 3 more times with decent success. Some minor skips and struggle getting it to cut my bahia without missing blades. My Blades of grass are very fine and I’m trying to use 3.5” height to protect against the heat and sun. Anyway still experimenting. After cutting twice, I put the robot on the Maintenance Stand to clean and inspect and it was nearly new still.
I joined some FB groups and although they are all issue driven, I’ve learned some of the nuances are current software change driven, So I’ll be patient and treat this product for what it is. New.
One thing I’d like to see is a Mulching disc that draws the grass up so it cuts it after pushing it over with the mower as it moves along.
I've been mowing with the Luba 3 AWD for two weeks now and so far, I am very impressed. I watched a few YouTube videos of others unboxing and setting up their mowers, so I pretty much knew what to do. Nonetheless, I did not need to set up the RTK antenna since I had good NetRTK signal. I followed the instructions and within 30 minutes Luba was on the charger awaiting the first instruction. Programming was easy, just walk Luba around the property. The phone app works well, it just takes some time getting used to the terminology and location of controls; this is probably the area that can use the most improvement as I got better instructions off YouTube than the help screens. The lawn looks very nice after mowing, not perfect, but very nice. If you go looking you might find a stray piece of grass sticking up but you really have to look to find it. The important thing to remember is that this is a MAINTENANCE mower and works best if you're cutting off only a small amount of grass (~1/2" or less). That means cutting two or three times a week when the grass is in growing season. When I go to the various Mammotion forums that discuss the Luba it can be easy to become worried about the Luba because of all the negative comments, especially about software updates and customer support. However, keep in mind that many fewer people go and leave comments in these forums when things are going well and also, many times the negative comments are because of self-induced errors. That said, I am going to be careful about updating the firmware on my mower as long as it is working for me. My mower has been working as expected and with no issues during this short time and I hope it keeps going that way. One more thing, I did have a interaction with customer service and they stayed in touch with me until my issue was concluded then followed up to make sure the task had been completed. At this point I am happy with the state of things and have no buyer's remorse.
Great reduced charging schedule
I started mapping right away. It was a simple setup.
Overall very good, but with some annoying software issues, suggest more software testing and development for seamless experience.
No loss of signal. Always cuts properly as selected.
Cuts our lawns on Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays……we stopped cutting on the week ends as it attracted too many tourist stoping and taking videos!!!
Luba always returns to its charging station where it remains until called..
Always shows excellent signal…..
It’s a stand.,we shall see how it stands
Perfect companion for the mower
Super easy set up and it works well. If anything it could get a little tighter on corners but all in all I’m very happy
I wish this had a traditional blade option just for longevity but these work great for a clean cut.
I had a first generation Luba and it was great. This one is even better.
Very solid built stand. Makes cleaning and routine maintenance easier. Glad I purchased this product
With the 4G service my robot mower is safe from theft and is working perfectly
The Luba 3 does a fantastic job! The App leaves a lot to be desired. The first day of use I set up to mow my backyard and the app asked me if I wanted to manually map or auto map. I chose auto and it did a great job, but, overnight there was an update to the Luba/app and the auto map capability can’t be found. I have nanually mapped rest of yard and mower is performing exceptionally. Just need a better app.
