Robotic lawn mowers are becoming increasingly popular in Canada as homeowners look for smarter and more efficient ways to maintain their lawns. However, achieving centimeter-level positioning accuracy has traditionally required installing an RTK (Real-Time Kinematic) base station.
For many homeowners, this setup can add extra complexity. Traditional RTK systems typically require mounting a dedicated antenna in an open area of the yard to ensure a clear satellite signal, along with careful positioning and calibration.
To simplify robotic mowing, we introduced Mammotion iNavi™ Service (NetRTK) — a positioning solution that removes the need for a physical RTK antenna while still delivering the high-precision navigation required for autonomous mowing.
Mammotion iNavi™ Service is now available in Canada, making it easier than ever to deploy robotic lawn mowers with centimeter-level accuracy and minimal setup.
What is Mammotion iNavi™ Service?
Mammotion iNavi™ Service is a NetRTK (Network Real-Time Kinematic) positioning solution developed by Mammotion Atlas Lab. It provides centimeter-level positioning accuracy for robotic lawn mowers without requiring a local RTK base station.
Unlike traditional RTK systems that rely on a dedicated antenna installed on the property, NetRTK works by receiving correction data from a network of reference stations through the internet.
With iNavi™, the robot mower connects to the network using WiFi or 4G, allowing it to receive real-time positioning corrections. This enables precise navigation while removing the need for additional hardware in the yard.
The Mammotion iNavi™ Service is currently available in many regions around the world and continues to expand into new areas. Users can view the iNavi™ coverage map online or in the Mammotion app to confirm whether the service is available in their location.
Key Benefits of Mammotion iNavi™ Service
Mammotion iNavi™ Service combines advanced NetRTK technology with a simplified user experience, offering several advantages for Canadian homeowners.
1. No Hardware Installation
Mammotion iNavi™ Service eliminates the need for an RTK antenna or base station. Users can start using precise robotic mowing without installing additional equipment in the yard.
2. Easy Setup
Getting started is simple. Connect the mower to WiFi or 4G, enable iNavi™ in the Mammotion app, and map your lawn area.
3. High-Precision Navigation
Mammotion iNavi™ Service provides centimeter-level positioning accuracy, enabling consistent mowing paths, precise edge cutting, and efficient lawn coverage.
4. Flexible Coverage for Different Yard Layouts
Because correction data is delivered through the network, Mammotion iNavi™ Service works well across large lawns and complex yard layouts, including irregular shapes and multi-zone areas.
5. Consistent Lawn Results
Stable positioning allows the mower to maintain systematic mowing patterns, helping create clean, professional-looking lawn results.
How to Use Mammotion iNavi™ Service
Using Mammotion iNavi™ Service is straightforward and designed to reduce setup complexity. In just a few steps, your mower can navigate your lawn with centimeter-level accuracy — without installing an RTK antenna.
Step 1: Check Network Coverage
Ensure your mower has a stable WiFi or 4G connection across the mowing area. This connection allows the mower to receive NetRTK correction data in real time.
Step 2: Enable iNavi™ in the App
Open the Mammotion app and select iNavi™ positioning mode. The mower will automatically connect to the correction network.

Step 3: Map Your Lawn
Use the app to define lawn boundaries. Mammotion iNavi™ Service supports complex shapes and multiple zones, helping the mower navigate accurately.
Step 4: Start Mowing
Once mapping is complete, start the mowing task. Mammotion iNavi™ Service continuously updates positioning through the NetRTK network to maintain an accurate path.
Step 5: Monitor Through the App
Users can track mowing progress, adjust schedules, and manage mower settings directly from the Mammotion app.

Mammotion iNavi™ Service is available in many regions worldwide and is continuously expanding across Canada. Users can check the iNavi™ coverage map in the Mammotion app or on the official website to confirm service availability in their area.
Pricing & 4G Connectivity
Mammotion iNavi™ Service and required 4G data are free for the entire lifecycle of compatible products.
Some mowers also include 1 or 3 years of complimentary 4G connectivity, allowing the mower to use other features that rely on 4G data.
After the complimentary period ends, users may choose to renew the 4G connectivity plan if they wish to continue using cellular-based features. (Mammotion 4G Service Details)
Even without renewing the 4G plan, iNavi™ positioning can still operate with 4G and WiFi, though some features that rely on cellular connectivity may no longer be available.
Privacy & Data Security of Mammotion iNavi™ Service
Mammotion is committed to protecting user privacy while delivering reliable positioning services.
The iNavi™ system follows strict privacy principles. When the mower connects to the Mammotion cloud center, it only receives the positioning correction data required for accurate navigation.
No personal or user-related information is collected, transmitted, or stored during this process. Data communication is limited to the correction information needed for positioning, ensuring a secure and privacy-focused user experience.
Users can refer to the Mammotion Privacy Policy for more details about how data is handled.
Traditional RTK vs. Mammotion iNavi™ Service
Many high-precision robotic lawn mowers rely on RTK technology to achieve accurate positioning. However, traditional RTK systems typically require a physical base station installed on the property.
Mammotion iNavi™ Service takes a different approach by using NetRTK technology, where correction data is delivered through a network instead of a local antenna. This allows the mower to maintain precise positioning without installing extra hardware in the yard.
